About Second Chances

Second Chances Comprehensive Services, LLC provides mental health services in the Virginia communities around Hopewell, Virginia Beach, Hampton, and Emporia.

Everything we do is about empowering our clients to have the mental health peace that they need for a second chance. Our soothing office environments are designed to be a breath of fresh air. No matter where you’re coming from, we want to give you hope that there is greatness on the other side of what you’re going through.

Second Chances Comprehensive Services is a caring organization with a focus on at-risk youth in the community. Second Chances was founded by Mr. and Mrs. Mason in September 2008.

The founders recognized the need for strong community outreach services that may help facilitate and guide individuals with their future endeavors while maintaining family cohesiveness.

What Our Mission Statement Means to Us

At Second Chances Comprehensive Services, our mission is based on cohesiveness. We believe that children and their families are best served when the family system is preserved.

Our organization provides community-based behavioral and mental health services to empower our community, while promoting healthy and resilient lives for children and families. 

Those services include:

•  Assisting families in achieving a stable, healthy home environment by reducing or eliminating problematic behaviors
•  Helping to successfully prevent out of home placements
•  Offering a variety of services and interventions to meet the individualized needs of the families in services
•  Coordinating and collaboration with others external agencies to ensure maximizing of the family’s opportunities for success
•  Empowering families to competently participate in treatment decision-making
•  Teaching functional and adaptable skills to individuals in the family unit to help maintain unity

Second Chances is a Licensed Provider of Community Residential Services for Developmental Disabilities
